Blizzard Entertainment is hiring a Senior VFX Artist II to contribute to an exciting unannounced game project. As a key early team member, you will design and implement high-quality real-time visual effects that enhance gameplay and storytelling, helping shape immersive player experiences.
Job Overview
- Develop real-time VFX for a new unannounced AAA game

Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality real-time VFX using Unity, Maya, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Apply visual design principles such as lighting, color, motion, and composition
- Build VFX systems from concept to implementation and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with engineers for optimized and performant VFX
- Deliver gameplay-enhancing visual effects that support storytelling
- Provide and receive constructive feedback within the team
- Adapt to evolving priorities and production needs
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience creating real-time VFX for games
- Expert-level proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine
- Strong understanding of VFX pipelines from concept to completion
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, or similar tools
- Strong artistic and technical problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
- Experience shipping AAA titles as a Senior VFX Artist
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Visual Effects, Game Art, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
