Job Overview

The Junior Generalist will develop skills across multiple CG disciplines, contributing to environment creation, rendering, and asset optimization. This role offers hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and workflows in a collaborative production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce entry-level shot work including lighting, rendering, and basic modeling tasks
  • Create and manage HDRI environment maps and 360-degree renders
  • Perform basic texture adjustments and model refinements
  • Communicate shot progress and updates to supervisors and production teams
  • Attend dailies and incorporate feedback into ongoing work
  • Review outsourced assets for consistency and quality
  • Document workflows and maintain organized project files
  • Optimize rendering processes for efficiency
  • Assist in testing software tools with technical leads
  • Maintain and update generalist asset libraries

Required Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in digital or traditional art, especially environments and landscapes
  • Knowledge of CG techniques such as modeling, texturing, lighting, shading, compositing, or matte painting
  • Familiarity with tools like Photoshop, Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, and rendering engines
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and workflows
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, Design, Photography, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
