Role Overview

The Game Designer will play a critical role in developing innovative slot gaming experiences for global markets. This hybrid position in North Ryde, NSW, involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and deliver high-quality gaming products from concept through launch.

This role requires strong mathematical expertise, programming knowledge, and hands-on experience developing slot game mechanics and simulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Game Designers to develop new slot game concepts for global markets
  • Perform and validate all mathematical model calculations, including RTP, hit frequency, and volatility metrics
  • Develop code to implement game functionality and simulate mathematical models
  • Produce technical and regulatory documentation for applicable markets
  • Develop tools to support mathematical modeling and documentation processes
  • Partner with artists, software engineers, and test engineers throughout development
  • Conduct peer reviews of calculations, code, and documentation
  • Drive projects from concept through to market delivery

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a game designer or developer working primarily on slot games
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with a strong mathematical focus
  • Programming experience, preferably in C++
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience developing game concepts, prototyping game math, and simulating software
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to manage projects from concept through completion

Travel: Up to 25%

Work Authorization: Candidates must have full working rights in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
