Job Overview
IGT is building a talent community of passionate Game Designers based in Austin. This opportunity is designed to connect with creative professionals interested in shaping innovative casino and digital gaming experiences. While immediate openings may not be available, selected candidates will be considered for future roles.
As a Game Designer at IGT, you will contribute to the full lifecycle of game development—from concept to launch—while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging gameplay experiences enjoyed worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop casino game concepts, mechanics, and features from ideation to release.
- Create detailed game design documents outlining gameplay systems and player experience.
- Collaborate with developers, artists, mathematicians, and producers.
- Propose innovative ideas to enhance gameplay engagement and competitiveness.
- Review and refine game features throughout development to ensure quality and consistency.
- Analyze player feedback, market trends, and performance data to improve designs.
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitor offerings, and player preferences.
- Contribute to team collaboration and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in game design, preferably in casino, slots, or real-money gaming.
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, player engagement, and retention strategies.
- Insight into player psychology and game balancing techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Mathematics, Computer Science, Art, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
