Job Overview
Motorica is seeking a Senior Technical Animator to act as a customer-facing expert supporting AAA game studios. This role blends technical animation expertise, consulting, and communication, serving as a bridge between product development and go-to-market teams. You will play a key role in driving adoption, solving pipeline challenges, and delivering impactful demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-sales technical demonstrations to showcase product capabilities and build client trust.
- Support customers in integrating and setting up Motorica within their animation pipelines.
- Identify and resolve pipeline challenges, including retargeting and workflow optimization.
- Act as a technical advisor for AAA studios, ensuring smooth adoption of tools.
- Collaborate with product and GTM teams by sharing customer insights and feedback.
- Serve as the “eyes and ears” in the field to influence product roadmap and improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Animator or similar role in AA/AAA game production.
- Strong expertise in Unreal Engine (Control Rig, Blueprints).
- Proficiency in DCC tools such as Maya and MotionBuilder.
- Deep understanding of animation pipelines and production workflows.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts.
- Experience working with clients or in a consulting/customer-facing role is a plus.
- Knowledge of modern animation techniques such as Motion Matching is highly desirable.
- Passion for emerging animation technologies and AI-driven workflows.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Computer Graphics, Game Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
