Job Overview
The Senior Technical Game Designer will play a key role in designing and implementing gameplay systems, mechanics, and pipelines. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to build high-quality, immersive gameplay experiences while driving innovation and creative vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and implement gameplay systems and mechanics from scratch.
- Create and manage event scripting and interactive gameplay elements.
- Collaborate with engineering, animation, and design teams to build efficient workflows.
- Develop and improve content pipelines for production efficiency.
- Communicate design ideas clearly and effectively across teams.
- Work with producers to prioritize tasks and manage development timelines.
- Take ownership of features from concept through final delivery.
- Ensure stability and quality when integrating scripts and level content.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Unreal Engine and Blueprints.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as XML, Perl, or C++.
- Strong understanding of gameplay systems and mechanics design.
- Ability to prototype ideas independently and iterate quickly.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation in game design.
- Generalist approach with the ability to learn multiple disciplines (animation, VFX, audio, etc.).
- Experience with tools like Maya, 3ds Max, or Adobe Suite is a plus.
