As a UI/UX Designer, you will bring clarity to ambiguity, guide stakeholders toward alignment, and translate user needs, operational constraints, and business goals into actionable design outcomes.
Job Overview
This role supports complex initiatives across their lifecycle by leading discovery and design activities. You will work closely with technical teams, non-technical partners, and leadership to ensure shared understanding, reduce risk, and enable effective decision-making.
Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship Required
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance or Higher
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery efforts to identify user needs, pain points, requirements, and business objectives.
- Plan and facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to drive alignment.
- Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clearly defined problem statements and priorities.
- Communicate design intent, requirements, and constraints to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Present findings, recommendations, and design concepts in a clear and inclusive manner.
- Synthesize research findings into actionable artifacts such as affinity diagrams, service design diagrams, and customer journey maps.
- Develop wireframes to explore solutions and gather early-stage feedback.
- Advocate for human-centered design practices across cross-functional teams.
- Continuously learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant UI/UX or product design experience.
- Proven experience leading discovery and requirements gathering activities.
- Proficiency with design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, and Sketch.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience presenting and facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholders.
- Active Secret Clearance.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required.
