Job Overview
Ethos is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join its growing remote team. This role is ideal for a professional experienced in direct response (DR) environments who excels at transforming influencer, UGC, and stock footage into high-performing video assets.
You will produce high-converting content across the acquisition funnel — from short-form Meta and TikTok ads to long-form YouTube videos and broadcast-quality TV spots.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into polished direct response (DR) videos with engaging transitions, captions, sound design, and motion graphics
- Adapt and optimize videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other paid social platforms
- Make quick edits to existing TV content and repurpose assets for digital channels
- Bring YouTube concepts to life using b-roll and internal content libraries
- Stay current on video trends, formats, and editing styles
- Brainstorm and pitch short-form UGC and influencer-driven concepts optimized for conversion
- Collaborate with paid social strategists and influencer managers to align messaging and performance goals
- Elevate Ethos influencer allowlisting and UGC campaigns to improve ROAS
- Design high-volume video creatives from briefs or storyboard net-new ideas
- Apply paid social performance metrics to inform creative decisions
- Ensure all edits align with brand guidelines and best practices
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–5 years of video editing experience focused on DR ads, influencer content, and UGC
- Proven ability to create high-performing, conversion-driven paid social ads
- Strong portfolio showcasing storytelling, performance optimization, and content repurposing
- Experience editing for YouTube and adapting existing TV content
- Deep understanding of paid social formats and online video delivery
- Strong foundation in design principles, typography, color theory, and composition
- Proficiency in Figma, Final Cut, Adobe After Effects, Frame.io, and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Motion graphics and animation experience required
- Ability to interpret paid social metrics and apply data-driven learnings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable receiving and applying feedback in an iterative creative process
Compensation & Benefits
