Job Overview

Versus Media Group is seeking a Video Editor & Graphics Specialist to join its growing production team. This remote role (within the Los Angeles metro area) offers creative ownership while remaining hands-on with video editing, motion graphics, and static design.

Reporting to the Supervising Editor, you will oversee the full post-production pipeline—from concept through delivery—ensuring content is optimized for social platforms, television, and digital campaigns. This role requires strong technical expertise, social-first storytelling instincts, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit video content for multiple platforms, including television and short-form social ads (0:30, 0:15, 0:06).
  • Optimize and export videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms.
  • Select and arrange raw footage into compelling, fast-paced narratives.
  • Mix sound effects, music, and voiceovers to enhance storytelling impact.
  • Design and produce motion graphic and static graphic assets.
  • Manage the end-to-end post-production workflow including editing, animation, sound design, and versioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional production teams to align creative with brand briefs.
  • Develop innovative short-form formats aligned with social-first audience behaviors and performance metrics.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet editorial, brand, and client standards.
  • Stay current on social trends, viral formats, and emerging AI tools for video production.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design.
  • Strong experience managing post-production workflows.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, and graphic design fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
  • Experience incorporating emerging AI tools into video production workflows.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve.
  • Interest or experience in political campaigns or public affairs.
  • Background working in time-sensitive campaign environments.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience in post-production and video editing will be considered.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Salary range of $72,000 – $82,000 annually (prorated for contract duration).
