The VFX Supervisor serves as the creative and technical leader, overseeing the design, bidding, and execution of visual effects projects while ensuring delivery within schedule and budget.

Job Overview

The Visual Effects Supervisor collaborates closely with production teams and clients from project initiation through final delivery. This role involves supervising VFX work both on set and in post-production, maintaining creative excellence, and supporting business development efforts including client pitches, script breakdowns, and project estimations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead VFX supervision across on-set and post-production phases.
  • Manage project execution within defined schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate with VFX Producers on bidding, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Define project requirements including team structure, tools, and workflows.
  • Communicate creative direction and expectations to VFX artists.
  • Supervise artists alongside CG and Compositing Supervisors.
  • Oversee all VFX shots from turnover to final delivery.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Participate in sales initiatives and client meetings.
  • Travel as required for shoots, meetings, and project needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in VFX supervision, CG, or compositing.
  • Strong understanding of VFX pipelines and production workflows.
  • Experience with episodic and film production environments.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong artistic eye for composition, cinematic design, and animation timing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid technical knowledge of industry-standard tools and workflows.
  • Willingness to travel for production and client engagements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Visual Effects, Animation, Film Production, or a related field is preferred.
