Job Overview
Big Shot Pictures is hiring a talented 3D Artist to develop high-quality assets within an Unreal Engine-driven real-time production pipeline. This role requires balancing visual quality, performance, and scalability while contributing to stylized content for kids and family audiences. You will collaborate closely with creative and technical teams in a dynamic production environment.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 3D assets for real-time Unreal Engine pipelines
- Work across various visual styles, focusing on stylized and appealing designs
- Build optimized meshes for real-time rendering performance
- Develop and iterate materials using Unreal Engine’s material system
- Prepare, optimize, and integrate static meshes into Unreal Engine
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and technical teams to meet production goals
- Support asset optimization, scalability, and iteration workflows
- Document and maintain best practices for asset creation and integration
Qualifications
- Strong experience creating 3D assets for real-time engines, especially Unreal Engine
- Proficiency in DCC tools such as Blender
- Solid understanding of Unreal Engine static mesh and material workflows
- Experience in both hard-surface and organic modeling
- Ability to adapt to multiple art styles and creative directions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to document workflows and best practices clearly
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine lighting and rendering workflows
- Experience in real-time or hybrid DCC-to-engine pipelines
- Experience working in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary teams
- Interest in emerging tools and workflow improvements
Education
A degree in 3D Art, Animation, Game Design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
