Job Overview

Landor is seeking a talented 3D Designer to join its Cincinnati studio. This role focuses on designing branded environments that house, hold, and accommodate immersive experiences across retail, hospitality, services, and entertainment sectors.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary creative teams to develop impactful 2D and 3D consumer-facing design solutions that blend physical, human, and digital elements into cohesive brand experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design branded physical environments for retail, hospitality, exhibitions, and commercial spaces.
  • Develop innovative 2D and 3D consumer-facing design concepts.
  • Contribute to medium to large-scale projects requiring collaboration across multiple disciplines.
  • Create original design solutions while evolving and refining existing creative work.
  • Enhance spatial experiences through thoughtful form, flow, volume, lighting, and material application.
  • Support visualization efforts including high-resolution renderings and immersive experiences (AR & VR).

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2–5 years of experience designing retail spaces, trade shows, exhibitions, or hospitality environments.
  • Strong creativity with a passion for bold thinking and big ideas.
  • Understanding of branding and commercial branded experiences.
  • Familiarity with design thinking methodologies.
  • Knowledge of materials, construction processes, and detailing.
  • Appreciation for architectural design including form, spatial planning, and lighting techniques.
  • Interest in next-generation visualization tools including AR and VR.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray (or other high-resolution rendering engines), and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong hand-drawing and sketching skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related discipline is preferred.
