Role Overview
Bentley Systems is seeking a Senior Motion Designer to bring brand stories to life through high-quality animation and motion systems. This is a full-time, individual contributor role (40 hours per week), open to remote or hybrid candidates in the United States, preferably within the Eastern time zone.
You will collaborate closely with the Executive Creative Director, video/media teams, designers, strategists, and writers to create imaginative, strategic, and system-driven motion work across campaigns, product launches, and brand experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute brand-defining motion systems for campaigns, launches, and digital experiences.
- Translate brand strategy into cohesive motion principles aligned with Bentley’s brand system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during concept and strategy phases.
- Lead motion workstreams and maintain a high bar for creative execution.
- Create compelling presentations and clearly articulate motion concepts.
- Move fluidly between concepting, storyboarding, prototyping, and final animation.
- Manage multiple projects effectively while maintaining strong communication around timelines and feedback.
- Contribute to evolving studio motion standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience in motion design, ideally within brand or studio environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing brand-led motion work and storytelling.
- Exceptional sense of timing, composition, typography in motion, and visual rhythm.
- Proficiency in After Effects and Figma.
- Strong collaboration and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team culture.
Additional Tools & Nice to Have
- Experience with Final Cut Pro and 3D software.
- Interest in creative coding, experimental motion tools, or TouchDesigner.
- Curiosity for evolving tools, techniques, and creative technologies.
