Job Overview
As a Senior Motion Design Lead, you will drive the ideation and execution of high-impact 2D and 3D motion design across global campaigns, brand initiatives, and immersive events. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on creative concepting, previsualization, animation, and elevating the overall craft of motion design at Intuit.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including brand, content, strategy, video production, and experiential design to deliver compelling motion storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and animation of world-class motion design for brand campaigns, social, GTM initiatives, and live/virtual events.
- Collaborate with Motion Design Creative Directors, Content and Strategy Directors, and cross-functional brand teams.
- Concept, pitch, and execute creative motion solutions informed by audience insights and customer empathy.
- Translate strategic design direction into elegant, elevated motion design experiences.
- Manage and guide external motion design partners and agencies.
- Oversee post-production workflows for motion graphics in partnership with video producers and editors.
- Lead internal and external collaborators to ensure high creative standards and best outcomes.
- Balance multiple productions simultaneously while maintaining quality and timeline integrity.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience designing and animating 2D, 3D, and experiential motion deliverables at leading studios, agencies, or companies.
- Strong portfolio featuring event design, show packages, marketing campaigns, sizzle videos, and presentation decks.
- Exceptional storytelling instincts with strong understanding of pacing, emotion, and audience impact.
- Mastery of After Effects, Premiere, Cinema4D, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Google Slides.
- Deep understanding of animation principles, speed curves, and advanced After Effects workflows.
- Experience with tools such as Unreal Engine, Cavalry, Rive, Processing, DaVinci, or Nuke is a plus.
- Interest and working proficiency in AI-assisted creative tools (e.g., Weavy, Comfy UI, Krea).
- Strong leadership, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity, manage risk, and drive clarity across teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Animation, Visual Arts, Media Production, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
