Job Overview
The Motion Graphic Designer is responsible for producing motion graphics and visual content for in-arena, broadcast, and digital platforms. This role primarily focuses on enhancing the in-game fan experience for Memphis Grizzlies and Memphis Hustle games.
This is a high-visibility, on-site role requiring collaboration with creative, broadcast, and live entertainment teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and implement motion graphics for the Memphis Grizzlies and affiliated properties
- Work within established brand and style guides to execute creative campaigns
- Animate logos, typography, brand assets, and design elements
- Collaborate cross-functionally to bring animation strategies to life
- Participate in Broadcast and Live Entertainment creative meetings
- Take direction from Senior Graphic Designer and receive feedback from Art Director
- Execute creative briefs and project goals assigned by the Creative Project Manager
- Contribute to broader marketing and creative strategies
- Prepare scripting during pre-production to streamline event-night execution
- Adapt to event-driven schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field required
- 1–3 years of experience creating graphic designs and motion graphics
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D
- Understanding of video and animation codecs
- Knowledge of production standards for social media platforms
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience in live event production
- Non-linear editing experience in Adobe Premiere or Avid
- Knowledge of Ross Xpression design applications
- Experience working with a professional sports team
