Job Overview
Envoy is seeking a bold and hands-on Motion Designer with a strong creative point of view and exceptional craft. This hybrid role is ideal for a multidisciplinary motion designer who thrives on both concept development and execution.
The Motion Designer will create compelling motion content across 2D, 3D, real-time, and generative platforms, bringing ideas to life across digital, spatial, immersive, and experiential environments. You’ll collaborate closely with creative directors, producers, and creative technologists to elevate storytelling through motion.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept, design, and animate high-impact motion content across 2D, 3D, and generative platforms.
- Visualize immersive experiences for pitch and production, including 3D spatial visualization and previz.
- Collaborate with producers and creative technology teams from concept through final delivery.
- Contribute to internal toolkits and workflow improvements for efficient production processes.
- Explore and integrate emerging tools such as Unreal, Unity, TouchDesigner, and Generative AI into motion pipelines.
- Provide creative and technical oversight across multiple projects with strong attention to craft and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a studio or agency environment with a diverse motion design portfolio.
- Strong design fundamentals including composition, typography, and visual storytelling in motion.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects.
- Strong 3D skills in Cinema 4D (or equivalent).
- Bonus experience with Fusion, Unreal Engine, Unity, or TouchDesigner.
- Deep understanding of production pipelines, post-production workflows, and cloud rendering.
- Experience designing for both screen and physical spaces (installations, retail, exhibits, architecture).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
