About the Role

We are seeking a talented 2D Animator to bring character and typographic elements to life for a family-oriented live experience. This role focuses on delivering animation in an enhanced cutout style with selective 2.5D depth, balancing character charm with production efficiency.

The animation work emphasizes clarity, readability, and energy—ensuring instructions remain engaging for live, large-scale family audiences. With a streamlined approval path and integration-ready deliverables, this role plays a critical part in maintaining production timelines and brand consistency.

Job Overview

The 2D Animator will collaborate closely with project supervisors, producers, and designers to create high-quality motion graphics and character animation tailored for live event environments. Deliverables must be integration-ready and optimized for large-scale display formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Animate characters, typography, and graphics in an enhanced cutout style with selective 2.5D depth.
  • Ensure animations maintain clarity and readability for large, live audiences.
  • Deliver integration-ready MP4 files in 1080p or 4K resolution, including masked variants when required.
  • Apply brand fonts and visual guidelines consistently across animated assets.
  • Work with reference audio during production and re-embed final audio tracks at project handoff.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and producers to align pacing and style with project vision.
  • Manage workload effectively under a Time and Materials budget to meet delivery timelines.
  • Provide onsite support if the contract is extended.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in motion graphics, 2D or 2.5D animation, or related production roles.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating character-driven animation and dynamic, readable typography.
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Maya, and related animation tools.
  • Strong understanding of animation timing, rhythm, and visual flow for family or live audiences.
  • Experience producing broadcast- or live-event-ready assets.
  • Exceptional file management and project organization skills.
  • Ability to maintain production schedules under tight deadlines.
  • Required licenses, software access, and equipment capable of delivering high-resolution outputs.

  • Experience with enhanced cutout or paper-style animation workflows.
  • Familiarity with live production pipelines and integration deliverables.
  • Background in entertainment, theme park, or family-oriented productions.
