Job Overview
broadhead is seeking a creative and strategic Art Director to join its Charlotte-based team. This hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) calls for a visual storyteller with a strong portfolio demonstrating compelling advertising and design across multimedia platforms.
The ideal candidate thrives on building brands, activating engagement, and collaborating with creative partners to bring bold, strategically grounded ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate client audience insights and marketing strategies into compelling creative concepts and executions.
- Develop and present innovative ideas across digital, social, print, and multimedia platforms.
- Lead social-first concept development and cross-platform visual storytelling.
- Communicate and present creative ideas effectively to internal teams and external clients.
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, strategists, and agency peers in a fast-paced environment.
- Deliver high-quality creative work within defined budgets and timelines.
- Leverage AI tools to drive smart, efficient, and forward-thinking creative solutions.
- Travel as required to support client needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of agency and/or client-side experience with cross-platform digital design expertise.
- Strong portfolio showcasing art direction and advertising experience across multimedia channels.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of social-first creative strategy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Professionalism and diplomacy in client communications.
- Experience working collaboratively and independently in fast-paced environments.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Arts, Graphic Design, or equivalent professional experience.
