Job Overview
Moneybox is seeking a Motion Design Lead to oversee the strategic development and execution of motion design, video, and animation initiatives across the brand.
This leadership role will guide the motion design team while setting the creative direction for advertising, product animations, and branded storytelling. The Motion Design Lead will collaborate with designers, copywriters, product teams, and marketing stakeholders to deliver impactful motion experiences that elevate the Moneybox brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and execution of motion design, animation, and video initiatives.
- Define and maintain the brand’s motion principles, ensuring consistent animation styles, easing, transitions, and motion behavior.
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, UI, product, and marketing teams to deliver end-to-end motion assets.
- Oversee the creation of motion content including performance advertising, social media videos, explainer content, CRM communications, product demos, and digital OOH campaigns.
- Manage and mentor a team of motion designers and freelancers, supporting their professional development and project delivery.
- Lead concept development sessions, storyboarding, and creative brainstorming for motion-led campaigns.
- Ensure high-quality execution of animation, video editing, and visual storytelling aligned with business objectives.
- Develop efficient workflows for motion production including rendering pipelines, asset management, and templates.
- Leverage AI and automation tools to improve team productivity and creative output.
- Track motion and video performance metrics such as VTR and CTR, using insights to optimize creative outcomes.
- Champion motion design across the organization and inspire teams to deliver engaging brand experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in motion design and animation.
- Strong showreel showcasing expertise in 2D animation, kinetic typography, video editing, and social advertising.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Familiarity with motion tools such as Rive, Lottie, or Cinema 4D.
- Proven leadership experience with at least 2 years managing or mentoring motion designers.
- Strong storytelling and conceptual thinking across motion, sound design, copy, and visual design.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to balance creativity with deadlines and business objectives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain motion design decisions to cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and iterate quickly to deliver high-impact creative work.
- Attention to detail in animation quality, timing, keyframes, and audio synchronization.
