About the Role
Mercedes-Benz Stadium is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Motion Graphics Designer to elevate the in-venue experience for the Game Presentation and Stadium Productions Department. This role focuses on producing premium animations, visual effects, LED content, and motion graphics for major sporting events, including Atlanta Falcons games, Atlanta United FC matches, and other live entertainment events.
Job Overview
The Senior Motion Graphics Designer will lead projects from concept to final delivery, working collaboratively with designers, editors, digital producers, and project managers to ensure all content is visually compelling and on-brand. This role also includes mentoring junior designers, assisting with live productions, and supporting in-game presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create advanced motion graphics, animations, and visual effects using Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, Blender, and other 3D tools.
- Develop content for LED displays and live event presentations for sports and entertainment events.
- Lead creative projects through ideation, production, revisions, and final delivery.
- Design and animate graphics-driven and live-action content across multiple brands and styles.
- Create storyboards, style frames, and motion tests to explore and pitch creative directions.
- Ensure visual consistency with brand guidelines across all campaigns and productions.
- Adapt and version content for multiple platforms and aspect ratios.
- Build and maintain reusable motion graphics templates such as MOGRTs.
- Manage revisions and approvals using project management tools like Monday.com.
- Prepare files for editors, developers, and external partners.
- Perform research, fact-checking, quality control, and technical reviews.
- Organize and maintain project files and digital assets.
- Assist in executing in-game shows and in-house video productions.
- Support sponsorship-related design, coordination, and execution.
- Maintain and troubleshoot post-production equipment.
- Mentor junior designers, peers, and interns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or 4+ years of experience in video and broadcast production.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital media, film, TV, agency, or sports entertainment environments.
- Strong experience in live event video production.
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, Blender, and other 3D software.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and deliver high-quality results.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience in HD display operations and integrated audio in live sports environments.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, game days, and holidays.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience in motion graphics, video production, or broadcast design.
