Job Overview
ByteDance is seeking a talented Senior Environment Concept Artist to create visually compelling in-game environments for narrative-driven projects. The role involves designing combat spaces, cinematic narrative scenes, environmental props, and atmospheric world-building concepts while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary development teams.
Responsibilities
- Create concept designs for in-game environments, narrative scenes, combat areas, and environmental props.
- Collaborate with narrative designers, storyboard artists, game designers, and level designers.
- Balance artistic quality with gameplay and technical requirements.
- Develop visually immersive environments with strong atmosphere and storytelling.
- Produce high-quality environment concepts that align with the project’s creative vision.
- Contribute to visual world-building and environmental mood development.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in environment concept art.
- Experience working on AAA narrative-driven games is a plus.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software and strong hand-drawing skills.
- Excellent understanding of design fundamentals, composition, lighting, and color.
- Strong ability to create atmosphere and immersive visual storytelling.
- Passion for video games and interactive entertainment.
