About the Role

WPP Production is seeking a talented VFX 2D Creative Retouch Artist to join its global creative imaging team. In this role, you will create high-quality photorealistic visuals by combining CGI render passes, AI-generated assets, photography, and advanced image retouching techniques for premium marketing and advertising content.

Job Overview

You will collaborate closely with VFX and 3D artists to deliver visually compelling imagery for automotive and product visualization projects. The role combines technical compositing expertise with artistic creativity, ensuring every final image meets the highest standards of realism and visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Image Compositing: Combine CGI render passes, AI-generated assets, and photography into polished, production-ready visuals using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with CGI and 3D artists to achieve both creative and technical project objectives.
  • Visual Enhancement: Apply advanced color grading, retouching, and image finishing techniques to produce realistic, high-quality imagery.
  • Photography Expertise: Utilize knowledge of lighting, lenses, depth of field, composition, and perspective to improve image realism.
  • AI Integration: Leverage AI tools and workflows to improve production efficiency while maintaining creative excellence.
  • Quality Assurance: Deliver visually consistent work within project deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Look Development: Contribute to the visual style and creative direction across a variety of advertising and product visualization projects.

Qualifications

  • Advanced expertise in Adobe Photoshop for compositing, retouching, and image finishing.
  • Strong understanding of color management, color theory, and visual consistency.
  • Experience compositing CGI render passes including AOVs, mattes, and layered renders.
  • Knowledge of Nuke, After Effects, or similar compositing applications.
  • Excellent understanding of photography principles, lighting, lenses, and perspective.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a creative team.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Visual Effects, Animation, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience in VFX compositing or digital imaging will also be considered.
  • Additional training in photography, CGI, or digital art is an advantage.
