Job Overview

Slate is seeking a creative and versatile Graphic and Motion Designer who thrives at the intersection of visual storytelling, branding, and motion design. This role is ideal for someone passionate about aesthetics, design trends, and multimedia execution across digital and physical platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling visuals, motion graphics, and campaigns that bring the Slate brand to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with creative leadership to develop and evolve brand identity
  • Create engaging visual content across digital, physical, and multimedia platforms
  • Design assets including marketing collateral, social content, videos, and product visuals
  • Develop motion graphics and video content in collaboration with production and social teams
  • Provide strategic reasoning behind design decisions and creative direction
  • Partner with designers, copywriters, videographers, and stakeholders on campaigns
  • Manage projects from concept through production and final delivery
  • Stay updated with design trends, tools, and industry inspiration
  • Contribute to a creative team focused on bold, disruptive ideas

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in brand design (agency or in-house)
  • Strong expertise in graphic and motion design across multiple mediums
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with tools like After Effects, Blender, Figma, or similar
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and animation principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from ideation to delivery
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience designing for websites, social media, and email campaigns
  • Comfortable working independently and within collaborative teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
