Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of branding systems and visual identities for Complex Bets series and content
  • Create motion graphics, title treatments, editorial artwork, and branded creative assets
  • Design assets for YouTube, social media, websites, and promotional campaigns
  • Guide projects from initial concept through final delivery while managing tight deadlines
  • Create brand guidelines, templates, and marketing materials for multiple campaigns
  • Present creative work internally and externally while ensuring brand alignment
  • Provide art direction and design support across various digital platforms and media formats
  • Apply best design practices across all creative work
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive creative team culture

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in graphic design, motion graphics, animation, or creative media
  • Experience working at a design studio, agency, post-production house, or creative firm
  • College degree in graphic design or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing motion design, branding, and creative storytelling
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Understanding of post-production workflows and digital content pipelines
  • Strong visual communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of motion graphics, typography, branding, and editorial design
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and storytelling aesthetics

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AI creative tools such as Krea, Invoke, Claude, and Weavy
  • Experience with Cinema 4D or 3D motion design tools
  • Understanding of youth culture, sports media, entertainment, and digital storytelling
  • Experience designing for YouTube-first and social-first platforms
  • Ability to create stylish, modern visual systems aligned with the Complex brand aesthetic
