Job Overview

Absurd Ventures is seeking a talented UI Artist with strong expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator. This role involves creating high-quality, scalable UI assets while maintaining a consistent visual style. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for clean design, understands usability principles, and can collaborate effectively with designers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the UI Lead and Art Director to refine and expand the UI art style.
  • Understand and contribute to improving the UI production pipeline.
  • Create high-quality, production-ready UI assets within project timelines.
  • Ensure usability standards are maintained in all UI designs.
  • Adapt to different visual styles and workflows as required by the project.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and iterate on UI designs.
  • Help maintain and elevate the overall UI quality standards of the studio.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in game development UI design.
  • Strong proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Figma.
  • Knowledge of modern UI/UX trends in the gaming industry.
  • Experience designing scalable UI layouts.
  • Ability to provide creative solutions to UX challenges.
  • Passion for video games and interactive design.
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Game Design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
