Job Overview
Frida is seeking a Production Artist to join its Packaging Production team. This role focuses on creating print-ready packaging artwork, ensuring high-quality production standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver assets on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate, print-ready packaging mechanicals aligned with brand guidelines
- Support new product development, renovations, and international packaging pipelines
- Prepare and release final artwork assets to vendors and business partners
- Review proofs, color samples, and print outputs for quality and compliance
- Collaborate with design, brand, product, and engineering teams
- Ensure proper file organization, naming conventions, and asset archiving
- Coordinate with printers and vendors to maintain production quality
- Apply technical and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, FCC compliance)
- Participate in production meetings and manage timelines effectively
- Attend press checks and vendor visits as required
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in packaging production or mechanical artwork
- Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Knowledge of printing techniques (lithography, flexography, screen print, digital)
- Understanding of pre-press workflows, file optimization, and color management
- Experience with proofing tools, RIP software, and color measurement systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
