Job Overview
Monomi Park is hiring a Senior Game Designer to lead gameplay design and systems development. This role is ideal for a hands-on Unreal Engine designer who thrives in a collaborative environment, owns features end-to-end, and contributes to shaping engaging player experiences from concept to final polish.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive key areas of game design from prototype through implementation.
- Design, script, and tune gameplay systems using Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprints.
- Prototype gameplay features and iterate through playtesting and feedback.
- Develop and refine mechanics, systems, and level design elements.
- Create and maintain structured design documentation for cross-team collaboration.
- Work closely with Engineering, Art, and Production teams to align vision.
- Analyze player feedback and game metrics to improve gameplay experiences.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Assist in planning, scoping, and scheduling with production teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in game design, preferably with shipped titles.
- Strong expertise in Unreal Engine 4/5 and Blueprints scripting.
- Experience across full game development lifecycle (concept to polish).
- Solid understanding of gameplay systems, mechanics, and player motivation.
- Experience in multiplayer game design.
- Ability to write clear and structured design documentation.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills in a small team environment.
- Self-motivated with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
