About the Role

Mob Entertainment is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to create intuitive, immersive, and visually compelling interfaces for its game projects. This role combines user experience strategy with artistic execution, helping players engage seamlessly with gameplay while maintaining immersion within the studio’s signature horror-inspired worlds.

Job Overview

The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing player-centered experiences, creating visual interface assets, and collaborating with game designers and programmers to implement effective in-game systems. From wireframes and prototypes to polished interface art, you will help shape every stage of the UI development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • User Experience Design: Create player flows, wireframes, interaction models, and usability-focused solutions that improve engagement and accessibility.
  • Interface Creation: Design high-quality UI visuals, HUDs, menus, inventory systems, and other player-facing interfaces.
  • Prototyping: Develop and test UI/UX concepts through prototypes and iterative design processes.
  • Visual Communication: Create icons, indicators, and interface elements that clearly communicate gameplay information and objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, programmers, and artists to ensure interface systems align with gameplay goals and artistic direction.
  • Documentation: Maintain UI style guides, component libraries, and design documentation to support production consistency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design or UI art for video games or interactive media.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both UX problem-solving and visual interface design skills.
  • Proficiency with Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related design tools.
  • Experience designing game interfaces, including HUDs, menus, and interactive systems.
  • Understanding of usability principles, player psychology, accessibility, and interaction design.
  • Experience implementing UI systems in game engines, preferably Unreal Engine.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Game Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Training in interaction design, accessibility, or game interface design is beneficial.
  • Portfolio demonstrating game UI/UX expertise is required.
