Job Overview

Smith+Nephew is seeking a Digital Graphic Designer with a strong focus on video and motion graphics. This role is ideal for a creative professional passionate about storytelling through motion design and producing dynamic digital content that elevates a global brand.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing Communications (MarCom), and Marketing teams to develop engaging visual experiences across digital platforms while maintaining brand consistency and accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality video content, motion graphics, and animated assets for social media, digital advertising, email, and web campaigns.
  • Develop storyboards, animation concepts, and visual treatments aligned with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
  • Design and adapt digital assets including social graphics, presentations, digital signage, and email visuals.
  • Ensure consistent application of brand identity, typography, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with Creative, MarCom, and Marketing teams to deliver clear and compelling visual storytelling.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining organized file systems.
  • Optimize digital assets for different platforms and ensure accessibility standards such as captions are met.
  • Share motion design expertise to elevate team capabilities.
  • Support campaign performance through A/B testing and data-informed creative improvements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Motion Graphics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in digital design with a strong focus on motion graphics and video editing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles, motion typography, compositing, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging visuals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to incorporate feedback effectively.
