Job Overview
Entropico is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join its Los Angeles team. This role involves a balance of editing (60%) and post-production support (40%), collaborating closely with producers, editors, and cross-functional creative teams across LA and Sydney offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality edits with strong narrative, aesthetic, and technical execution.
- Interpret scripts and creative briefs to deliver compelling video content.
- Edit a variety of content including commercials, social media assets, and long-form videos.
- Collaborate with producers, editors, motion designers, and sound teams.
- Produce cut-downs, assemblies, and final polished edits.
- Manage revisions and maintain high attention to detail.
- Handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and milestones.
- Ingest footage, create proxies, and sync audio/video.
- Prepare projects for color grading, animation, and sound mixing.
- Export, resize, and master final deliverables.
- Maintain organized project files and support data archiving systems.
- Ensure smooth workflow across internal teams and global offices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of video editing experience across multiple formats.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong understanding of offline-to-online workflows and post-production pipelines.
- Experience handling various file formats, codecs, and camera sources.
- Ability to assemble and revise edits efficiently.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
