Job Overview

DEPT® is seeking a Junior Motion Designer to join its creative Design team in Zagreb. This role involves creating engaging animations and video content, translating gameplay into compelling visual narratives, and collaborating with designers, art directors, and clients to deliver innovative digital assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop eye-catching motion graphics for digital platforms such as social media, websites, and video campaigns.
  • Edit social media videos and contribute creative ideas aligned with trends and brand guidelines.
  • Translate gameplay footage into engaging visual content by selecting impactful moments and perspectives.
  • Apply visual storytelling, composition, framing, and pacing techniques to showcase game environments and mechanics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative motion design solutions.
  • Use Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to design and animate graphics.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies in motion design, including AI.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining quality control.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to exceed expectations.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in motion design or relevant agency/creative industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of animation, storytelling, and shot composition.
  • Passion for gaming and the ability to identify visually engaging gameplay moments.
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated and quick to learn new tools in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Interest in social media design trends and digital content creation.
  • Full working proficiency in English.
  • Experience with AI tools in motion design is a plus.
