Job Overview

Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior Concept Artist to help define the visual identity of Battlefield projects through high-quality concept art and visual development. Responsibilities

  • Create visual target images that establish project mood, tone, and artistic direction.
  • Design readable concepts for environments, characters, props, weapons, and vehicles.
  • Develop photorealistic illustrations using drawing, painting, photobashing, and 3D workflows.
  • Create paint-overs of level geometry to guide environment artists and level designers.
  • Collaborate with external vendors by preparing creative briefs and providing artistic feedback.
  • Work with Art Directors to evolve style guides and visual frameworks.
  • Support presentations, milestone reviews, and art review deliverables.
  • Research references and iterate on visual ideas to support creative problem-solving.
  • Lead through hands-on artistic contribution and mentorship support for junior artists.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Concept Artist in the video game industry.
  • Excellent drawing skills with strong understanding of anatomy, lighting, composition, and color theory.
  • Strong sense of industrial design and shape language.
  • Interest in military hardware, environments, and visual storytelling.
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Blender, Cinema4D, or similar 3D DCC tools.
  • Strong understanding of game production pipelines and workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and supporting junior artists.
