Job Overview

  • Work on a weekly video podcast, delivering visuals on tight deadlines
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive visual style for the show
  • Create original assets, animations, and reusable templates
  • Collaborate with producers, editors, and creative teams
  • Ensure adherence to Vox’s editorial and visual standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and animate visuals for weekly podcast episodes
  • Collaborate with the Unexplainable team and Art Director
  • Create graphics packages and motion templates
  • Provide art direction and ensure visual clarity
  • Maintain consistency with Vox style guidelines
  • Support additional creative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of experience in animation and graphic design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design and storytelling
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with Premiere Pro
  • Experience in video editing and sourcing archival footage
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and editorial judgment
  • Ability to collaborate across teams

Education

No specific degree required; relevant experience and portfolio are key.
