Job Overview

The Motion Designer will join the Creative & Marketing team, primarily supporting MS NOW programming and select CNBC initiatives. This role focuses on creating high-quality motion graphics for on-air promotions, marketing campaigns, and branded storytelling.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage multiple deadlines, and delivers creative excellence without compromising efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and animate motion graphics for on-air promotions and marketing campaigns
  • Create show opens, transitions, explainers, and branded content packages
  • Support daily programming visuals including lower thirds and editorial animations
  • Collaborate with creative teams including directors, producers, and designers
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
  • Participate in full production cycles from concept to final delivery
  • Adapt designs quickly for breaking news and time-sensitive content
  • Maintain organized workflows and adhere to technical standards
  • Support cross-brand initiatives with CNBC creative teams

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional motion design experience
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and motion design techniques
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Strong design fundamentals including typography, composition, and timing
  • Experience in broadcast or media production environments preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Strong portfolio showcasing motion design work
  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D or other 3D tools (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and video editing workflows

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
