Airship is expanding its global talent pool and is looking for a Freelance Senior Animator to support upcoming game development projects. This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for experienced animators who can deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Create high-quality animations for characters, creatures, and environments.
Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and development teams.
Ensure animation consistency with project style and technical requirements.
Work within production schedules and meet deadlines efficiently.
Optimize animations for in-game performance and integration.
Provide feedback and support to junior animators when required.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a Senior Animator in the gaming or animation industry.
Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality animation work.
Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Maya, Blender, or similar software.
Solid understanding of animation principles, timing, and motion.
Experience working in real-time engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
Ability to work independently in a remote, freelance environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Game Design, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
