Job Overview

Tessell is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Motion Designer to bring product and brand narratives to life through high-quality motion design. From UI animations and microinteractions to product explainers and marketing visuals, this role plays a key part in communicating complex technical concepts in a simple and engaging way.

You will collaborate closely with UX, product, engineering, and marketing teams to create a cohesive and scalable motion language across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design UI animations, microinteractions, transitions, hover effects, and onboarding flows.
Collaborate with UX and visual designers to enhance user journeys through motion.
Translate Tessell’s brand identity into a consistent and scalable motion language.
Create animated infographics, logo animations, visual loops, and campaign assets.
Develop storyboards, style frames, and motion prototypes before production.
Define motion guidelines including animation speeds, easing curves, and transitions.
Work closely with engineers to ensure smooth implementation and performance optimization.
Contribute animated assets for marketing campaigns, social media, landing pages, and events.
Advocate for motion as a core component of the product design system.

Required Skills & Expertise

Strong foundation in motion design, storytelling, rhythm, and pacing.
Experience animating UI elements, transitions, and microinteractions.
Proficiency in After Effects, Rive, Lottie, Jitter, or Principle.
Experience with Premiere Pro and Audition (or equivalent tools).
Proficiency in Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Ability to create polished explainer videos and product demos.
Understanding of scalable design systems and component-based workflows.
Ability to optimize animations for performance across web and mobile.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on SaaS, enterprise software, or data-driven platforms.
Strong portfolio showcasing UI animation, motion graphics, and illustration.
Experience designing for both product interfaces and marketing campaigns.
Familiarity with integrating sound design into motion projects.
