Job Overview

Light & Wonder is seeking a talented Senior Game Animator to join its Gaming team in Chennai. In this role, you will create high-quality animations for casino and gaming experiences, collaborating with designers, artists, and engineers to deliver visually compelling gameplay content.

The position requires strong animation skills, experience with industry-standard animation tools, and the ability to translate storytelling concepts into engaging motion and character animations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging game animations that communicate stories and emotions through movement.
  • Collaborate with game designers, artists, and engineering teams to conceptualize and develop animations.
  • Develop storyboards, animatics, and animation prototypes for gameplay features.
  • Produce high-quality final animations while maintaining performance and technical requirements.
  • Design and animate expressive characters and immersive game worlds.
  • Provide creative solutions to artistic and technical challenges.
  • Update and modify artwork to support engineering implementation and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to animation assets.
  • Contribute to the overall creative direction of the game animation pipeline.
  • Perform additional animation or art-related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience using Adobe After Effects.
  • Experience with 3D software such as 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Maya, or Blender.
  • Basic knowledge of Spine 2D animation.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and motion design.
  • Basic knowledge of the Unity game engine.
  • Ability to learn new tools and software quickly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for resolving technical art issues.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Portfolio showcasing animation work is mandatory.

Education

Graduate degree in Animation, Multimedia, Game Design, or a related field.
