MobilityWare is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to help create visually engaging and polished experiences across its portfolio of mobile games. This role combines artistic creativity with technical problem-solving, enabling teams to build high-quality content enjoyed by millions of players worldwide.

Job Overview

The Senior Technical Artist will bridge the gap between art and engineering by developing tools, optimizing assets, and bringing visual concepts to life within Unity. You will collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to deliver polished effects, animations, interfaces, and gameplay experiences while maintaining efficient production pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Development: Create tools and workflows that improve production efficiency and streamline collaboration between art and engineering teams.
  • Unity Implementation: Transform art concepts and mockups into interactive game content using Unity.
  • Visual Effects Creation: Develop particle systems, shaders, VFX, and animations that enhance gameplay and player engagement.
  • UI and Prefab Development: Build user interfaces, prefabs, and in-game visual systems using Unity tools and workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with artists, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality features and visual experiences.
  • Optimization and Innovation: Improve asset performance, support production goals, and leverage emerging technologies and AI-assisted workflows where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional studio experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional game development experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency with the Unity Editor.
  • Experience creating particle systems, shaders, visual effects, animations, and UI elements.
  • Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and other industry-standard art tools.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Game Development, Computer Graphics, Interactive Media, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Specialized training in technical art, visual effects, or game development is advantageous.
  • Continuous learning and professional development in game technologies are encouraged.
