Job Overview

Zynga is seeking an experienced Senior Game Designer to join its Gram Games studio in London. In this role, you will design new gameplay systems, levels, and features while maintaining balance and cohesion across the entire game experience.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, artists, and product managers to deliver engaging gameplay and strong player experiences while aligning with business goals and game KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop new gameplay features, mechanics, systems, and levels.
Collaborate with developers, artists, and product managers to integrate design solutions into the game.
Ensure technical feasibility and strong visual direction for game features.
Research and analyze competitor games to identify market opportunities.
Create solutions that improve player engagement and support game KPIs.
Present design pitches and gameplay visions to stakeholders.
Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive game design documentation.
Tune and balance complex gameplay systems for optimal player experience.
Conduct playtests, player research, and iterate on design based on feedback.
Prototype and improve existing game systems while solving complex design challenges.
Ensure the highest level of gameplay quality and player satisfaction.

Qualifications

Proven experience working as a Game Designer in the gaming industry.
Strong understanding of gameplay systems, mechanics, and player experience design.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to translate player needs and feedback into actionable product improvements.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, art, and product management.
Ability to present and advocate design ideas clearly to peers and stakeholders.
